What You’ll Learn in the Pharmacy Technician Program

The Pharmacy Technician program combines classroom instruction, laboratory practice, and externship experience to provide a well-rounded introduction to the field. Students explore topics such as pharmacy law and ethics, drug classifications, dosage forms, and routes of administration, while also practicing skills in pharmaceutical calculations, prescription preparation, and inventory management.

Hands-on training in a simulated pharmacy environment allows students to become familiar with the tools and processes used in retail and community pharmacy settings. In addition, the program includes a 120-hour externship in a real pharmacy, giving students the chance to observe and apply what they’ve learned under the guidance of experienced professionals.
