EMT Training Program

U.S College’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program is designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and hands-training they need to perform the duties of an entry-level Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Upon completion of the Emergency Medical Technician Program, students will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Exam for EMT Certification. This Program is designed for individuals who are seeking employment as entry-level EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) at hospitals, as ambulance drivers, or as ambulance attendants.

 

Upon completion of the Program and earning your certificate, you should be ready to safely stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from routine medical transports to life-threatening emergencies. As an EMT, you will be trained on how to use basic equipment found in ambulances to stabilize and safely transport patients to hospitals.

 

The great thing about U.S College’s EMT Program is that it is short-term (only 8 weeks in length), preparing you for an exciting and rewarding career as an EMT. As the demand for health services continues to increase, becoming an EMT is a great way to advance your career.

Skills You Will Learn

U.S College’s EMT Course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide basic life support, trauma care, and emergency health services, allowing you to stabilize and care for patients who have suffered severe medical emergencies.

 

Medical emergencies you will be trained to handle include:

  • Poisoning
  • Cardiovascular Emergencies
  • Shock
  • Death
  • Dying Patients
  • Overdoses
  • Seizures
  • Head Injuries
  • Chest & Abdominal Injuries
  • Respiratory Emergencies
  • Burns
  • Soft Tissue Injuries
  • Hemorrhage Controls

 

The EMT Training Program will also teach students about basic human anatomy, using oxygen delivery systems, using suctioning systems, introducing you to mass casualty protocols, and handling emergency childbirth. Also, students will practice spinal immobilization, removal of patients from vehicles, rescuing patients, and trauma planning.

So, there will be little to no waiting time between the time you enroll in the Program and the time you begin training to become an EMT.

The Program will provide you with the knowledge and skills that you need to obtain certification as a Nationally Registered EMT.
